Bodega Victoria Ordoňez
Bodega Victoria Ordoñez is the driving force behind the revival of the Montes de Málaga wines. With great respect for the heritage of this wine region, the bodega brings old traditions to life in a modern version. Such as Voladeros, a 100% dry white wine from Pedro Ximenez. Or Monticara, a dry Moscatel with nine months of wood aging. The Pedro Ximenez grapes come from old vineyards at an altitude of 800 to 1000 meters.
The Montes de Málaga were traditionally known for its dry traditional Pedro Ximenez, mountain wine. But red grapes are also making their rise, such as Tempranillo, Petit Verdot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah. Las Ollas de Melillero is a ‘vino espumoso’ made largely from Pedro Ximenez supplemented with cabernet sauvignon, petit verdot, syrah and tempranillo. Bodega Victoria Ordoňez first red wine, Marti-Aguilar 2016, is named as a homage to the owner’s mother, Victoria Ordoňez. It is a blend of Petit Verdot, Syrah and Tempranillo.
